Join us for a few hours of tree planting
We are continuing our focus in this area after live staking the banks in previous years to ensure increased stabilization from erosion events moving forward. We will be planting a number of matured trees (2ft-3ft in height) which will assist in stopping further erosion but also more rapidly provide shade to Carrol Creek helping to maintain cooler water temperatures in this stretch or water. As a main tributary to the upper Grand River it is a critical area for us to focus.
If you want to volunteer you will need to do the following:
– Dress appropriately
– Bring work gloves (we will have a few spares)
– Boots would be a good idea
– Energy and laughter!
