Join us for a few hours of tree planting at 10AM on Saturday April 30th. The location of the tree plant is on the outskirts of Elora, on Middlebrook Road where Carrol Creek intersects. We are continuing our focus in this area after live staking the banks in previous weeks to ensure increased stabilization from erosion events moving forward. We will be planting a number of matured trees (2ft-3ft in height) which will assist in stopping further erosion but also more rapidly provide shade to Carrol Creek helping to maintain cooler water temperatures in this stretch.

If you want to volunteer you will need to do the following:
– Dress appropriately
– Bring work gloves (we will have a few spares)
– Boots would be a good idea
– Energy and laughter! Please do RSVP to this event so that we have an idea of participants by emailing info@friendsofthegrandriver. com.

Thank you!
